Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Crowned as the biggest mosque in all of the United Arab Emirates, Grand Mosque or broadly known as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is found in the delightful city of Abu Dhabi. Developed between 1996 and 2007, the mosque is named after the first president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheik Zayed receptacle Sultan Al Nahyan who kicked the bucket in 2004 and was covered in the mosques premise itself. The structure is a confounding piece of engineering design with some of it's most fascinating features like being finished with the world's largest floor covering (60,570 square feet) and crystal fixture and the capacity to hold in excess of 40,000 devotees for prayers, makes the spot an ideal destination for worshipers.
