All Points East have announced their upcoming line up for their opening event on the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Performing on Friday 27 August may be London Grammar, Jorja Smith, Loyle Carner, Celeste, Mura Masa, Mahalia and a number of the best artists inside the UK. London Grammar’s epic display at All Points East comes just in time for their lengthy awaited new album Californian Soil, due to be released this April. It’s an interesting change of course for the trio and vocalist Hannah Reid said the album offers with “themes of feminism and fame”. The singles ‘Baby It’s You’, ‘Lose Your Head’ and ‘How Does It Feel’ and the album title track have already blown fanatics away, which isn’t unexpected given the exceptional vocals of Reid, paired with the atmospheric electronics and diffused percussion with the aid of instrumentalists Dan Rothman and Dominic 'Dot' Major. Reid and guitarist Rothman met in their college dorms, wherein they started writing song together in 2009 and later brought Major to complete the road up. The following years noticed them refine their sound. They began gaining worldwide traction in 2013, and launched their debut album, If You Wait.
