Anna Flyover, also known as Gemini Flyover, is a double armed grade separator in the focal business district of Chennai. Developed in 1973 and named one of the best of the line flyovers in the country, it is Asia's 1st Grade Separator, the 1st flyover in Chennai and the 3rd Flyover in India. It was the longest flyover in the country when it was fabricated. Its fundamental purpose is to permit traffic development on Mount Road—presently renamed Anna Salai—close to Nungambakkam High Road (Uthamar Gandhi Salai) to proceed with unhindered by the cross traffic.
