Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, significant botanical research centre popular for its collection of ornamental shrubs and trees from Asia. Established in 1872, the arboretum comprises of 281 sections of land (114 hectares) at Jamaica Plain in Boston, and it has another 106-section of land (43-hectare) establishment at Weston, Massachusetts, U.S. The Arnold Arboretum has procured and developed in excess of 6,000 sorts of woody plants during its set of experiences. Of exceptional significance are its Oriental cherries, forsythias, lilacs, honeysuckles, oaks, magnolias, conifers, bantam evergreens, and Asiatic trees. Nearly 4,000 species were in development in the second decade of the 21st century.
