Dubai Spice Souk also known as the Old Souk is a traditional market in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The area is located in eastern Dubai, in Deira and is adjacent to the Dubai Gold Souk. The souk includes several narrow lanes which are fixed with open and shut roof stores Stores in the Spice Souk sell a variety of fragrances and flavors from frankincense and shisha to the many spices utilized in Arabic and South Asian food. Tucked into Dubai's Deira locale only north of Dubai Creek, the Dubai Spice Souk offers a portion of the city's most rewarding shopping. Here, secured alleyways overflow with stalls that sell all manner of Arabian and Asian flavors, spices, and delicacies, making the souk ideal for trinket trackers and anyone wanting to get a sense of old Dubai. Located close to Dubai’s other main market—the Gold Souk—the Spice Souk is a whirl of scents and color. Visitors browse shops filled with bags of rainbow-hued spices and herbs, from saffron, cumin, and vanilla to Arabian scents such as frankincense and oudh (the latter made using fragrant agarwood). Other wares—rose petals, teas, dried fruits, nuts, incense, and candies—also feature here, as does a huge array of souvenirs, from tapestries and perfume bottles to frankincense burners.
