Do you want to smell the odor the fragrance of the tropics? Or admire the abnormal plants that grow there? Breathe in the smells of the Mediterranean? Admire the flowering alpine roses? The travel corporation that may take you to those far off holiday destinations is referred to as the Botanical Garden of the University of Zurich. Both the risk and travel costs are low and the publications communicate your language. But as in all foreign worlds, you will want all of your senses to enjoy the unknown – and to surely revel in your environment. The Botanical Garden (Botanischer Garten) is one among two botanical gardens in Zurich, both of that are operated via the University of Zurich. This nearly 15-acre (6-hectare) herbal space sits on the outskirts of the metropolis and is home to 9,000 species of plants from all over the global. The lawn serves as a research facility for the Department of Systematic Botany, but is also open to the public all year spherical. Visit the lawn to walk thru the grounds, relax on the extensive lawns, and discover the three domed greenhouses packed with tropical plants (which might be especially specifically attractive on a chilly day).
