This double-story building is known for its luxurious furniture and design. It is enhanced by chandeliers, Greek cornices, Tuscan columns, stone arches, wooden floors and lovely furnishings. It turned into a mainstream tourist fascination. Not many individuals trouble to take a second look at the dark red structure on MG Road (prior called). It houses the city common courts and Bengaluru's glitterati like to scamper over to the shiny glass working across the street or the watering holes a little past. This dark red structure (prior white and afterward red-and-white) is Mayo Hall, named after Lor Mayo , who served as Viceroy and Governor-General of India somewhere in the range of 1869 and 1872. The structure was initially white in shading with a matt finish; it was changed over to a Pompeian red to glance in unison with the High Court of Karnataka. Improving and alluring, the design of this striking structure presumably inspired the construction of different buildings like Raj Bhavan, Vidhana Soudha and Puttanchetty Town Hall. Inside the structure, outlined pictures of the British honorability and remarkable citizens could be found in the hall.
