The Dallas Court & Detention Services Department is the administrative Clerk of the Court of Record. The department is responsible for regulating: Municipal Court administrative and clerical functions, the City Detention Center, the Dallas Marshal’s Office, school crossing program, building security and the incarceration of City of Dallas prisoners at the Dallas County Lew Sterrett Justice Centre Facility.
