Grossmünster holds a very prominent area in Protestant Christianity because of its role in the Protestant Reformation in Switzerland. It is one among the most important church buildings in Zurich in conjunction with St. Peterskirche, Predigerkirche, and Fraumünster. Sometimes referred to as the Gross Monster by English-speakme locals, Grossmünster is a Romanesque-fashion Protestant church in Zurich. According to legend, Charlemagne observed the graves of the city’s patron saints, Felix and Regula, and ordered a church to be built on the spot. Grossmunster is positioned in Zurich’s Old Town and is fine reached strolling or through taking the tram to the Helmhaus tram stop. Grossmünster’s tradition is a sleek reflection of its many years-old rich art and literature.
