Joe Pool Lake is the outcome of over 25 years of planning and longer than a decade of development. The U.S. Armed force Corps of Engineers, the Trinity River Authority, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the Joe Pool Lake Planning Council all worked together to plan and develop the Reservoir. Today the lake and the civilities found along its shores permit guests to appreciate a wide assortment of outside recreational interests. Joe Pool Lake is the principle fascination for most people that visit Cedar Hill State Park. There are lots of facilities in the park to assist you with getting a charge out of the lake.
