It is an interesting place to visit for the archaic exploration and history buffs as it display paintings and statue of the time when Kempe Gowda really started the establishment or the wireframe of the town, the four towers which denoted the boundary of the city with several old names for the places which are perceived differently today. The name of the museum is after the originator of Bangalore city Yelahanka Chieftain Kempegowda and is situated on the first floor of Mayo Hall. Kempegowda Museum was established in the year 2011, in the memory of the organizer of Bengaluru, Yelahanka tribal leader Kempegowda. Situated on the first floor of Mayo Hall, the museum has statues, posters, pictures of temples and forts from his time. The captivating glass floor with an eighteenth century map that runs all through is one of the alluring features of the museum and second being the fiberglass statue of Kempe Gowda in the focal point of the museum. Visitors can stroll over it, and see and become familiar with the old names of places, including the four towers that Kempegowda worked to stamp the limit of Bengaluru.
