Lalbagh Botanical Garden is situated in Bangalore and it is a prestigious centre for scientific study of plants, botanical artwork and also conservation of plants both nationally and internationally. A paradise for all nature lovers, it has almost 1,854 species of flora and fauna and covers area of 240 acres in the core of the city. The nursery features uncommon plants of French, Persian and Afghani root and has achieved the status of a Government Botanical Garden. The Lal Bagh Rock which is more than 3000 million years old is found here and is a significant tourist fascination.
