Situated in Florence’s historic centre Piazza della Santissima Annunziata is a Renaissance jewel onto which face different spectacular historic buildings and a short stroll away from the cathedral. Named after the development of its home to, begin in the Church of the Santissima Annunziata, which exhibits the Annunciation and was once an object of devotee for some pilgrims. On the piazza sits the Spedale degli Innocenti, one of Brunelleschi's initial Renaissance works and Europe's first shelter, inherent 1419. The harmonious arches over the slender columns, embellished with coated earthenware tiles with cherubs displayed in the Della Robbia workshop, make an exquisite colonnade.
