TWAD (Tamilnadu Water Supply and Drainage Board) is a statutory body company constituted beneath TWAD Board Act, 1970 on 14.04.1971 TWAD Board is entrusted with the development of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities within the State of Tamilnadu besides Chennai Metropolition Development areas. The works undertaken by means of TWAD Board in Dindigul District are completed through the following Divisions. The training wing of TWAD Board is vested with the obligations of Planning, organizing and engaging in raining courses on the Water Supply and Drainage zone for TWAD Board body of workers. A separate training wing has been established in TWAD Board in 1983 to teach the Board staff. The principal Training Centre is situated at Chennai, Head Office and different 3 Training Sub Centres are situated at Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy. The aim of the Training Centres is to offer In-residence schooling to all workforce contributors working in TWAD Board (consisting of technical and non-technical) in TWAD Board to equip, update & to behave as a platform to horn the competencies. Induction and Orientation education programmes to the newly recruited workforce in any respect ranges from Assistant Engineers to Clerical stage are being performed to tone up and to sharpen their competencies.
