The flamboyant blue-and-green façade of the Tekka Center make one of Little India’s best attractions—a hawker place and shopping center known for its varieties of goods and reasonable prices.  Tekka Center is home to a seller community with a wide assortment of good low-estimated street food – the Indian food is especially acceptable at this historically well known wet market eminent for fresh produce. It is also home to a host of minimal sundry stalls selling everything covering household goods, religious gear and in any event, fitting services. The name Tekka comes from Teh Kia Kah or Tek Kah, a Hokkien name signifying 'foot of the bamboos', a reference to the numerous bamboo plants developing along Rochor Canal. The ground-level food corridor sells a tremendous assortment of Indian and Chinese specialties. This is a shopping complex close to Little India in Singapore. A feasting center point of Little India, Tekka Market has various shops and a food community which is regularly frequented by locals and tourists. Housed in a stylish bright warehouse, the feeling here is very lively. Arriving at Tekka Market is easy as it is at a mobile distance from the Little India MRT station.
