From the creators of Afro Nation, it was initially deliberate to release in 2020 as a weekend birthday celebration of the African diaspora, inclusive of Caribbean and Latin American culture, with song and food from the world over. Due to the corona virus outbreak, the pageant needed to be cancelled. In March 2021, organizers showed YAM Carnival could kick off inside the capital as a one-day event on 28 August 2021. Set to be an exciting addition to London's pageant circuit, there may be live track from the Afrobeat, reggaeton, R&B, hip hop, Afro-swing and dancehall music genres throughout 3 tiers. The 2021 line-up is led by way of Afrobeats pioneer Davido along artists like Kehlani, NSG, Koffee, Ari Lennox, Yemi Alade, Pa Salieu, Darkoo, Nao, Princess Nokia, Ms Banks, IAMDDB, Midas The Jagaban, Femi Kuti, Honey Dijon and many greater.
